Why Loyalty is overrated?
Oh, ya, I love this person so much that I will support everything he or she says and can even die for that person. This kind of blind loyalty is what is killing our society and our world. The common person is so blindly in love with another person, a political figure or celebrity that we just start believing what they say and become blind followers. Not only that, in return, our loyalty makes them powerful and wealthy. I was born and raised in Bombay, which is a city on the West Coast of India. There are two large political parties in India namely the Congress and the BJP. I grew up in a household where all the adults in my family supported a political party out of the two large ones. Election after election, they voted for the same party, so much so that when I turned 18 and was eligible to vote, I cast my first vote ever to the same political party that my family voted for over the years, over many generations.
